WELCOME TO OUR JUNE 2022 NEWSLETTER !
It's June and the sun is shining (well, it is as I am writing this). We are all getting ready for some easing of the COVID-19 UK lockdown rules. At long last, we can get to go to some places. What about your holidays? Where are you going for your summer holidays? Or maybe it is the winter holidays for you! Questions, questions! Anyway, enjoy!
Congratulations and well done to all those of you who attended the PRS "Online IELTS Practice Test" during May. There were some very good results and scores from many of you. Well done, Colleen - 3,000 words of copy editing & proofreading are FREE on your next manuscript submission.
Keep an eye open for the next 'IELTS Practice Test'. It will be at the end of the Northern Hemisphere Summer Holidays - probably at the end of August, or at the beginning of September. We will let you know..............

THE MONTH OF JUNE
Across the UK, June temperatures average a daily high of 19 degrees Celsius (65 degrees Fahrenheit) and a low of 10°C (49°F), but on some days, they can reach much higher temperatures.
The day temperature in June averages 22°C in Florianopolis, Brazil, technically making it one of the coldest months in the Rio de Janeiro area — with only July, with its 21°C average, is cooler. The mercury drops to an average low of 19°C overnight, but climbs to a very pleasant average high of 25°C in the afternoon
June is the sixth month of the year in the Julian and Gregorian calendars, the second of four months to have a length of 30 days, and the third of five months to have a length of less than 31 days.
In the seventeenth century, the Latin name for the sixth month crept into English, Iūnius, meaning “sacred to Juno,” the Roman goddess. ......... In fact, summer weddings are still very popular, and they may have started because of the blessing that this goddess bestowed on those wed in her sacred month.
May 21 - June 20 Gemini Twins
June 21 - July 22 Cancer Crab
Born on the cusp of spring and summer, June babies are often outgoing and friendly. They are known as social butterflies. Charismatic June babies easily draw everyone's attention, making them attractive both inside and out. June babies are giving and forgiving
June is one of only two months that has three birthstones associated with it, giving the lucky people born in June a choice of gemstones between pearl, alexandrite, and moonstone. Pearls have been wildly popular in jewellery for centuries because of their natural beauty. Alexandrite gemstones are extremely rare and desirable since they change colour based on the lighting. The meaning of moonstone is in its energy — a nourishing, sensual, deeply feminine energy that knows how to heal and bring you back to wholeness. It is the stone of the Mother moon, deep healing waters, and sacred feminine energies.

Rose is the flower of June. Though roses are available in many colours from red to pink to white to yellow, all with their own special meanings, the underlying message of the flowers of June convey love and passion.
For those born from June 1st to June 21st, they are members of the Gemini zodiac sign. Social, talkative, and familiar with trends; Gemini is one of the most outgoing of zodiac signs.
Babies born between June 1st and June 21st are Geminis. If you are a Gemini, you are a mutable air sign and your characteristics tend toward high energy and a thirst for new things.
Gemini Personality: The Gemini personality is a lot of fun, but, like every sign, Geminis have their weaknesses. Their strengths are that they are adaptable, outgoing, and intelligent — there's never a dull moment with a Gemini. Gemini Keyword = "I think". Personality: Communication, Indecision, Inquisitive, Intelligent, Changeable.
World Environment Day (WED) is celebrated on the 5th of June every year, and it is the United Nation's principal vehicle for encouraging awareness and action for the protection of our environment.
People born from June 22nd to July 22nd identify with the Cancer sign.
The symbol for Cancer is the crab, and Cancer is the natural ruler of the 4th house. Cancer is ruled by the moon, and it is believed that the sign you see as 69 is representative of the phases of the moon, from new to full. However, most people refer to this sign as Ying and Yang.
